Job Description
• Inspects all types of tools, gages, dies and fixtures used by manufacturing assembly,
inspection and/or test
• Responsible for the recall and calibration system in the tool and gage section
• Knowledge of the quality procedures necessary to set and calibrate inspection equipment
making necessary adjustments and repairs as required. This includes the ability to follow and
take the necessary precautions when performing work to prevent damage to the equipment
and/or material or injury to himself/herself and/or others
• Will be required to train or assist other inspection personnel in all phases of mechanical
inspection including the software associated with these functions
• Collaboration and working with vendors for calibration services (quotes and onsite support).
• Thorough knowledge of the calibration software database
• Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to
set standards
• Learns the process if initial acceptance, controls, storage, repair, maintenance and continued
periodic recalibration of test and measuring equipment
• Performs calibrations and assembles test fixtures, test panels and experimental units in
accordance with procedures and manuals
• Must be thoroughly familiar with the use, application, and measurement of voltage and current
measuring instruments, frequency humidity, temperature and time measuring equipment, A.C.
and D.C. voltage working standards and signal generating equipment
• Must be adept at troubleshooting methods, using soldering tools, and make repairs
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the correct procedures to follow and precautions to take
when performing their work in order to prevent damage to equipment and/or material and
injury to self and/or others
• Must be able to properly document in a neat and legible manner all types of errors or
discrepancies found
• May be required to participate during internal and external audits as required
• Maintains records of results
• Physical condition allowing:
a. Lifting 50 pounds
b. Standing, sitting, bending, walking, 10+ hours per day
c. Personal protective equipment including Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing
protection, and wearing a respirator when required
• Must maintain a neat, orderly and safe work area
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
• Work experience testing with high power voltages 120VAC
• Must be able to read blueprint, work instructions and interpret engineering drawing
requirements
• Must be able to learn standard Calibration System Software (e.g. Global Recall or IndySoft)
• Must be able to train subordinates and assign test effort with minimal guidance from a
manager
• 5 years, formal education in electricity/electronics, or equivalent experience/combined
education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or
demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with both internal and external
customers
• Experience working successfully in a team environment
• Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends,
and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required
• Must be able to pass visual acuity and color perception exam
• Must be able to obtain a Government Secret security clearance
• US Citizen
Desired skills
• Associates degree in Electronics
• Previous test technician, inspection and/or work experience in safety operating within a highquality management system
• Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL
and Windchill
• Demonstrated Microsoft Office computer proficiency
• Work experience and formally trained (ARC flash) testing with high power voltages 220V to
440 VAC

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
