SUMMARY: The Tool Design Engineer reports to the Director, Engineering, Product Development and is responsible for conducting analytical studies on engineering proposals as outlined below.

- Utilizes computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
- Utilizes complex finite element analysis software to determine the flow profile of materials through extrusion tooling.
- Works from drawings, sketches, and instructions or from own conception.
- Based on analysis recommends design changes as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires knowledge of CAD, finite element analysis and flow analysis.
