- Calculate radii of simple and complex irregular curves using computer assist
- Create simple and complex patterns and parts using CAD/CAM program
- Establish optimum path and maximum use of materials and tooling including location of tool set point, starting point and cutter change points
- Prepare programs, set-up directions and instruction for CNC operators (including step-by-step directions for movement of machine cutter, change-point in three dimensional coordinates and data, machine cutting parameters, laser power, cutting gas types and pressure settings)
- Verify and edit code generation for accuracy and efficiency; maintain and update code files
- For some machines, transform two-dimensional drawings into three-dimensional objects for machining
- For some machines, transform three-dimensional objects into flat pattern parts for fabrication
- Pending plant location, operate burn table or laser table as needed
- Act, live, and behave by TCF Core Values
- Other duties as assigned
