Job description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provides Integrative Neurofeedback Therapy to patients by generating Quantitative EEG (qEEG) brain maps, running neurofeedback sessions, and completing clinical documentation.
  2. Provides Electromedical Therapy to patients by preparing Alpha-Stim® devices, monitoring patient sessions, and completing clinical documentation.
  3. Schedules patient appointments.
  4. Collaborates with members of the department and other clinical staff to provide updates on patients for neurofeedback and electromedical therapy.
  5. Tracks program data and perform basic data analyses.
  6. Works with IMS department to maintain hardware and software problems.
  7. Verifies regularly that EEG equipment and caps are cleaned and functioning properly.
  8. Tracks supplies necessary for delivering neurofeedback and electromedical therapy (e.g., electrode gel, plastic syringes, etc.).
  9. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the neurofeedback suite.
  10. Participates in continuing education and training to facilitate best scientific practices.
  11. Maintains appropriate boundaries and ethical behavior with patients, families, and professionals.
  12. Attends weekly departmental meetings.
  13. Assists with department administrative tasks.
  14. Completes all paperwork and clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  15. Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with Title 42, CFR, Part 2, HIPPA and Caron policies.

  1. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  2. Must be able to work overtime/extended hours as needed.
  3. Must be able to sit for extended period of times.
  4. Must be able to stand for 15 minutes to position the EEG cap on the patient's head.
  5. Must be able to travel and attend conferences.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Counseling, or related science or healthcare field is required.
  2. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy (TMS) experience is required.
  3. Experience in the addiction treatment field is preferred.
  4. Education in data analysis and quantitative methodologies preferred.
  5. Ability to use clinical software and other computer programs.
  6. If in recovery, two years of uninterrupted sobriety preferred.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
  1. Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skill.
  2. Must be able to establish rapport with patients and patient's family members.
  3. Must be educated in and familiar with scientific methods.
  4. Must be computer literate and able to work with Microsoft® applications and clinically relevant software programs.
  5. Must possess the willingness and capacity for growth, both personally and professionally.
  6. Must possess high degree of professionalism and treat sensitive clinical information ethically.
