THIS IS AN AIR FORCE NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a TITLE 32THEATER AEROSPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND ANDCONTROL OFFICER (MI 110WG), Position Description Number NGD1504P01, NGD1503000 and is part of the MI 110 Airlift Wing, Michigan Air National Guard.

Military Grades: O3 - O5
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum time required: 36 - 48 months
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
-- Incumbent is required to utilize and maintain current in-depth and integrated knowledge of:
- The in-flight handling characteristics and performance capabilities of all friendly and hostileaircraft used in the theater of operations of the assigned gaining command Air Operations Center;
- The techniques of air battle management COMMAND AND CONTROL on a theater-wide basis incomplex, rapidly changing contexts; and
- The state of the art techniques of combat planning, combat operations, and THEATER AEROSPACE warfare doctrine, as applicable to the gaining command.
-- Incumbent must also possess and exercise the skills and knowledge necessary to design and deliver effective training in areas of expertise, utilizing the latest and most technologically advanced training aids, materials, and equipment available in the subject matter area, innovating as necessary.
