The Tire Technician will be responsible for repairing, replacing, and maintaining tires for a fleet of heavy haul trucks, trailers, and equipment. This position requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Mounting and dismounting tires on heavy haul trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Examining tires and associated parts for defects and damage
- Safe use of tire mounting tools and equipment
- Assist with maintaining inventory of tires and equipment
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe and clean working environment
- Ensure that work areas are clean and organized and that equipment is properly maintained
- Other duties as necessary
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work safely at a fast pace and under pressure to maintain flow of business
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move tires and equipment
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge
- Related experience and execution of similar duties is preferred, but not required
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, tires, and heavy haul trucks and trailers
