Position Title: Tier Two Interventionist
FTE/PTE: Full-Time
Reports To: Teacher Resource Manager
HRS: M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm
Primary Function: To support the academic program in the classroom through small groups and assessments. May teach math classes and/or Lit Circles.
Requirements
1. Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree
2. Certification/License Required: Teaching license
3. Experience: New teachers welcome to apply
4: Physical Activities: General physical demands such as sitting, walking, outdoor supervision
5: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Flexible, analytical, strong commuication and interpersonal skills
Essential Duties
1. Support the academic growth needs of students, both high and low students
2. DIBELS test students, as needed, and monitor progress at scheduled intervals
3. Teach math class within a grade, if needed (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grades remedial)
4. Facilitate small reading groups
5. Proctor tests as needed and assess new incoming students
6. Assist with Kindergarten Orientation and Round-up
7. Plan and participate K & 1 Literacy events
8. Teach writing groups, as needed
9 As needed, participate in Parent-Teacher conferences
10. Other duties as assigned: Cover for classroom teacher, carpool, etc.
Programs: Burst, Sonday, Spalding, Quick Reads, HWT, Guided Reading, Go Math, TRC/3D
Anticipated Start Date: January 8, 2024
Anticipated Starting Salary and Benefits
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $49,000 - $54,000, depending on experience and skill level. PCK offers medical, dental and vision benefits, health savings plan, short and long term disability insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, participation in the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA) pension plan, employee assistance plan, paid sick leave, paid vacation leave and other voluntary benefits.
