Thrift Store Associate (Part Time)

Thrift Store associates are an integral part of the team that keeps our Thrift Store running. Our Store Associates support the business of the NWA Women’s Shelter Thrift Store by working as part of a team to ensure positive customer experiences, maintain a clean and well-organized sales floor, and help to maximize daily sales. Thrift Store Associates must be team players and have a positive attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains positive attitude at all times contributing to an encouraging work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
• Follow all cash register operating, sales, and purchases procedures.
• Each associate must keep up-to-date on the location of merchandise on the sales floor, what we do and don’t stock, as well as any current in-store sales or promotions.
• Stocking the floor with priced merchandise in the proper location.
• Following all store procedures regarding loss-prevention; including monitoring customers, greeting all customers upon entry, bag checking, reporting suspicious activity to manger, and maintaining a clearly organized sales floor.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure safety of all team members and customers.
• Any other tasks or duties as assigned by the leadership of the NWA Women's Shelter Thrift Store.

• High standard of integrity
• Ability to hold self and team members accountable
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work without supervision, but also able to work in collaboration with staff
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
• No prior felony convictions for violent offenses.
• Background checks & drug test will be conducted

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
