Description
The Child Development Center at Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for the following full time position: Assistant teacher in the Threes/Fours and Pre-K classrooms.

The Child Development Center at Currey Ingram Academy is a licensed day care and Pre-K serving the children of academy faculty and staff, which is also open to the surrounding community. The CDC places an emphasis on outdoor education and offers a dynamic enrichment program that includes gardening, cooking, foreign language, music, and movement. Teachers are provided with the Frogstreet curriculum and are supported with a mentor.
Preference is given to candidates who have experience working with these specific age groups as well as early childhood education credentials, or their equivalent. While the CDC is located on the Currey Ingram Academy campus, our program is not aligned with the same student mission, and a background in Special Education is not required to work at the CDC. General staff responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of the classroom and working with the other teachers to meet the developmental, physical, and emotional needs of the children. Teachers are expected to manage the classroom with positive behavioral expectations.
Assistant teacher requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Assistant teacher responsibilities include preparation of food, organization of classroom materials and supplies, and supporting supervision of children.
