Chime is looking for a Threat Intelligence Intern to join our Threat and Protective Intelligence team. You will gain valuable professional experience by learning and applying best practices for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on fraud, scam, and brand-related threats affecting Chime's members, products, and reputation. You will work with and learn from seasoned intelligence professionals, making this a great opportunity to develop valuable skills while making a measurable impact in the financial technology space.
This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $25 and up to $35. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to:
- Learn about fraud, scam, and brand-related threats affecting Chime and other financial technology companies and customers.
- Learn and apply workflows for collecting information about high-priority threats from different sources, including the deep and dark web and social media.
- Report or present findings and analysis about significant threats to the team and cross-functional partners.
- Participate in meetings and initiatives including representatives from different Chime departments.
To thrive in this role, you are:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in international affairs/relations, political science, criminal justice, international/national security, cybersecurity, computer science, economics, or another field where you can explain how your academic and professional interests align
- Proficient in SQL
- A critical thinker
- Up to speed on current events
- Curious about different types of threats and how they emerge and evolve
- Organized and motivated
- A strong communicator
- Team-minded and passionate about meeting and working with others
