Seeking a strong leader to lead this effort and provide high level guidance for the transition to RHEL-9. In addition, the lead will provide expert support for workshops and the rest of the technical/ engineering/ leadership team on current trends, issues, and overall understanding of the customer mission space. This person also provides hands-on support/ troubleshooting during the workshops and assists our government customer to continue to develop and refine SOPs. The lead must be able to assist the customer in understanding the workshop platform configuration and usage, limitations, and assist them with any additional SW packages or data configurations they may require to support the workshops.
• RHEL-8/9 strong experience (hands-on), deep understanding of Linux OS, STE/STN requirements and strong Bash scripting in Linux. • Hands on Networking, e.g. Switch configuration, maintenance, upgrades • Deep understanding of PXE Boot, KickStart knowledge • Nessus/ McAfee, LatteArt, Confluence, Jira knowledge • VMWare Workstation – strong knowledge • Hands on knowledge of CS2 hardening/ STIG on Linux • Understanding of Cloud technologies/ OpenStack, AWS. • Strong Linux troubleshooting skills. Work Location is ECB 1
Qualification:
Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
