About the Position
As a Third Grade Teacher, the final candidate will work closely with teaching peers, special educators, specialists, and administration to ensure academic and social-emotional success for ALL students. Knowledge of PBIS, Responsive Classroom, Units of Study, and Zearn Mathematics is preferred. Prior experience with multilingual populations is also desirable. Ideal candidates will also be collaborative, compassionate, driven, and fun!
About the School
Saccarappa Elementary is a K-4 school of approximately 400 learners and 80 dedicated staff. The average class size in second grade is just 17 students. In addition to literacy and numeracy, our curriculum includes classes in art, music, STEAM, physical education, and library. Technology resources and skills are integrated across the curriculum and school settings. Our Title I school is proud of its knowledgeable and compassionate Multilingual, Special Education, MTSS, and Gifted and Talented programs. Staff works collaboratively to provide support for a wide range of diverse learners. Professional Learning Communities meet weekly during early releases in order to study best practices and hone the art of teaching. We are proud of the partnership we have with our families, the Saccarappa PTO, and many other community members who make Saccarappa School a special place to teach and learn.
