    You have completed a BS in Nuclear, Chemical, or Mechanical engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

    • Demonstrated mastery of computer model development and application (e.g. RELAP5, COBRA, TRACE or other nuclear industry analysis codes).
    • Experience working with engineering workstation computers and LINUX operating environments.

You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Thermal Hydraulics Codes & Methods Engineer **** in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include broad range of activities including engineering code development and maintenance, topical report development and submittals, and first-of-a-kind core design and subsequent neutronics, thermal hydraulic, and safety analyses. The engineering activities are coordinated with other Framatome fuel engineering departments both locally and worldwide. **** You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop software and company products which support the design and licensing of Framatome fuel, program new or revise existing software based on technical and performance objectives of a project, perform licensing assessments for Framatome fuel design and methods, develop and benchmark models used in licensing assessments, and interface with U.S. regulations to license Framatome reactor core design and methods. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

    Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $81,000 - $105,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
