TFI Connections is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Foster Care Worker to join our team! All you need is a master’s degree and to be licensed to provide therapy services - LCSW, LPC, or LMFT or a candidate for licensure. We will teach you the rest!


As a Therapeutic Foster Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing therapy and support to families who foster Oklahoma's children. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating services, working in collaboration with internal and external community partners, creating treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:

- Licensed therapist or under supervision: Must hold a valid license as a therapist in the state of Oklahoma or be actively working towards licensure under supervision.

- Experience in Foster Care: Previous experience working in the field of Foster Care, preferably in a therapeutic capacity, is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of evidence-based practices: Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic interventions and practices for working with children and families.

- Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners, as well as to communicate with foster children and their families.

- Empathy and compassion: Ability to empathize with and show compassion towards foster children and their families, understanding the unique challenges they may face.

- Organizational skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate services and manage caseloads.

- Flexibility and adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing situations and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

- Valid driver's license: Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.


Responsibilities:

- Coordinate services: Work closely with foster families, biological families, and other professionals to coordinate and ensure the delivery of comprehensive services to foster children.

- Collaborate with internal and external partners: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal team members, community agencies, and service providers to ensure a holistic approach to the care and treatment of foster children.

- Conduct assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of foster children and their families to identify their needs, strengths, and areas for growth.

- Develop treatment plans: Create individualized treatment plans based on the assessed needs of foster children, incorporating evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.

- Provide therapy and support: Deliver therapy and support services to foster children and their families, utilizing various therapeutic modalities and techniques.

- Monitor progress: Regularly evaluate the progress of foster children and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure their well-being and development.

- Maintain documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.

- Advocate for foster children: Serve as an advocate for foster children, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.

- Stay informed: Stay current on best practices, research, and developments in the field of therapeutic Foster Care to enhance your knowledge and skills.
