Therapist Counselor - Mental Health

Thriving Sparrow Counseling & Wellness is an emerging Mental Health group practice providing in-person, home-based and virtual counseling services to clients in Illinois and Wisconsin.

We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our team.

This position is a remote work position, with potential to work a hybrid model between home and office settings.

The practice owner is experienced and skilled and has been working in the field for 20 years.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Mental Health assessment and counseling services to assigned clients
• Document services provided in progress notes
• Manage client communications and scheduling
• Support administrative staff to assist in collecting deductibles, coinsurance and copayments from client
• Attend monthly staff meetings (1.5 hours, Thursday AM)
• Attend weekly one-on-one meeting (.5 hour, scheduled with business owner)
• Maintain liability insurance, license, CEUs and mandatory trainings

Qualifications:

• Master's degree and professional license (LCSW, LCPC, LPC, LSW, PsyD or PhD)
• Previous experience providing Mental Health services
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Motivated, self-directed and disciplined to manage responsibilities independently
• Strong leadership qualities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable with office technology - computers, printers, scanners, etc.
• Confident using computers and navigating websites, scheduling platforms, documents, etc.
