To contribute quality care and service to the client by providing professional work in the
performance. Work is performed in accordance with established policies and
procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed in the mental health field. Licensed by the State of Florida Board of Professional
Regulations. Must possess knowledge of the ability to implement psychological
therapies. Abilities necessary to assess client and family needs to develop and carry
out appropriate treatment and discharge plans. Interpersonal skills are required to provide
effective counseling on an outpatient basis.
QUALITY STANDARDS
ASSESSMENT: Interviews client upon admission for detailed
Psychosocial history and provide comprehensive information, diagnostic summary and
treatment recommendations for client care.
DISCHARGE PLANNING: Assess client and family needs and resources and arranges
appropriate discharge plan in a timely fashion.
CLIENT AND FAMILY COUNSELING: Provide client and family group work services
including psychosocial therapies, client and family conferences to share diagnostic
information, information regarding the patient’s progress in treatment, assessing
client/client-family relationships and coordinating treatment and discharge plans.
CASE MANAGEMENT: Collaborates and coordinates the client’s treatment by
Communicating necessary information to and from other agencies and systems
involved with the client. Maintains ongoing relationships with other systems agencies
involved with clients.
