You are invited to join our non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation as a Therapist/Social Worker. We at D’Veal Family and Youth Services (D’Veal) understand it is vital that behavioral health challenges of children and families in the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles County be met with services consistent with the dynamic needs of today’s world, and within the parameters of various governmental agencies. For over 25 years, we have continually worked to create effective strategies and approaches that do the greatest good in the community and for each of the families we serve through community and school-based programs. The vision of D’Veal is to be the recognized leader in behavioral healthcare services, family wellness, enhancement and empowerment within diverse neighborhoods in Southern California.
Job Location: Pasadena, CA
Salary: $65,000 to $72,000 per year, depending on experience

D’Veal is here to help you become a successful Therapist, so you can focus on your clients. As a D’Veal Therapist you will:
Provide individual and family therapy
Be assigned with a caseload
Assess client needs and eligibility
May conduct intake evaluations, screenings, and psychosocial evaluations
Work with client’s school and other agencies to coordinate and facilitate their services
Communicate with families regarding client adjustments and plans of care when indicated
Utilize a verity of treatment modalities such as individual, group and family therapy
Provide selected agency services
Refer clients to other services when appropriate
Deliver emergency and crisis services
Participate in individual and team supervision
Be a part of a multi-disciplinary team (i.e. child psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, behavior specialist, parent advocate)
Participate in treatment plan of care for your assigned clients
Collaborate in agency planning and education
Provide peer consultations when assigned
Participate in developing agency procedures and program needs when assigned
Maintain current and acceptable charting standards that will benefit the client and team
Gain Evidenced Based Practice certifications
We will give you the tools you need, including:
An efficient electronic health record (EHR) that makes documentation quick and easy
You will be assigned weekly service delivery/billable hours
Documentation will be submitted in a timely manner to meet the 24 hour reporting deadline
Saved interventions
Centralized scheduler/interactive calendar
Ability to view prior note/side-by-side view
Zoom integration
Training opportunities and standards of care to support professional development

Collaboration with other providers

Connection to colleagues with a diverse array of modalities, and broad range of experience, background and understanding
Dedicated supervision time with your clinical lead for individualized case consultation and professional development
Regular opportunities for case consultation and clinical training
We're looking for individuals with the following:
You have a related degree such as a Master’s degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
You are registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) with an ACSW, MSW or APCC
Prior experience and knowledge with DMH documentation would be great to have
Bilingual in Spanish is not necessary, but let us know if you are
You may be able to work on a hybrid work-schedule
Be fully vaccinated with against COVID-19
