Title:Theater Assistant
Reports to: Theater Instructor
Summary:
Join the premier children’s museum in downtown Salt Lake City in a newly created position as the Theater Assistant. As a Theater Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in delivering engaging theater programs and workshops for children of all ages.
- Assist the Theater Instructor with programs for children, including workshops, classes, activities, and performances that promote creativity, self- expression and confidence-building in young participants
- Encourage and guide children in exploring their individuality and self-expression through drama and theater activities
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where children can learn and grow as actors and performers
- Assist with theatrical performances, recitals, and showcases featuring the children, providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents
Qualifications:
· Experience working with children in an educational or theatrical setting
· Strong understanding of acting techniques and principles, as well as theater production
· Enthusiasm for teaching and engaging children in creative, hands-on activities
· Experience working with large groups of children and/or teens in a school, camp, or other setting
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to adapt to different age groups and skill levels
· High energy and flexibility
