The Yogi Bear - Mascot Performer

Duties:

We are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Mascot Performer to bring joy and excitement to various events and occasions.

In this role, you will embody a beloved character(The Yogi Bear) and entertain audiences from age 5-10 year old's. The ideal candidate will be a retired individual with a passion for performance, a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to engage with people in a fun and energetic manner.

Responsibilities:

Portray and bring to life a designated mascot character at events, and other public gatherings.

Interact with audience members, posing for photos, giving high-fives, and engaging in playful interactions while maintaining the character’s persona.

Perform dance routines, skits, and other entertaining acts to captivate and entertain the crowd.

Ensure the safety and well-being of yourself and others while performing in a mascot costume.

Assist with costume maintenance, including cleaning, repairs, and proper storage.

Collaborate with event organizers and fellow performers to coordinate performances and ensure a seamless experience for attendees.

Attend rehearsals and training sessions to improve performance skills and learn new routines.

Embrace the role of a brand ambassador, promoting the organization or team associated with the mascot character.

Adhere to performance guidelines and maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications:

Individual with a passion for performance and entertainment.

Physical fitness and stamina to perform in a mascot costume for extended periods.

Ability to express emotions and engage with people non-verbally through gestures and body language.

Creativity and improvisational skills to entertain and interact with diverse audiences.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with people of all ages.

Ability to work in a team and follow directions from event organizers.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Prior experience as a Mascot Performer or in a related field is a plus, but not required.
