Job description

The Director of the Ramona Theatre is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation, preservation, and promotion of the Ramona Theatre. This historic site is a cultural landmark and may serve as a venue for various events, performances, educational programs, and tourism activities. The Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the theater's significance is preserved while maximizing its cultural and economic impact on the community.

Responsibilities:

1.Develop and implement strategic plans for the preservation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Ramona Theatre, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.

2.The Ramona Theatre, including maintenance of facilities, scheduling of events, and coordination of staff and volunteers.

3. Curate and develop a diverse range of cultural, educational, and entertainment programs and events at the Ramona Theatre to attract audiences and engage the community.

4. Cultivate relationships with local authorities, cultural institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration, support, and promotion of the Ramona Theatre.

5. Develop and manage budgets, seek funding opportunities, and ensure financial sustainability through revenue generation, fundraising, and grant writing efforts.

6. Ensure the preservation and conservation of the Ramona Theatre's historical and architectural integrity, in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

7. Enhance the visitor experience at the Ramona Theatre through interpretation, signage, guided tours, educational programs, and amenities.

8.Develop marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to raise awareness of the Ramona Theatre, attract visitors, and increase ticket sales and revenue.

9. Recruit, train, and supervise staff, volunteers, and contractors involved in the operation and management of the Ramona Theatre.

10. Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, security, and liability associated with the operation of the Ramona Theatre.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Arts Administration, Cultural Management, History, Archaeology, or a related field.

Proven experience in cultural heritage management, museum administration, event planning, or performing arts management, preferably in a historic site or cultural institution.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Knowledge of historical preservation principles, cultural heritage best practices, and relevant regulations.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build partnerships.

Financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial planning, and revenue generation.

Creative and innovative thinking, with a passion for promoting cultural heritage and engaging audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Proficiency in relevant software and technology for operations management, marketing, and communication.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $66,759.00 - $76,980.00 per year
