Overview
TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Field Services Interns (Testing and Commissioning) for our Summer 2024 intern program in our MIDWEST region. This is a paid temporary position. Anticipated duration is June 2024 through August 2024 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced TRC Commissioning Engineers.

Responsibilities
Our Testing & Commissioning Interns:
- Testing and Commissioning of protective relays for electrical transmission & distribution substations.
- Works under supervision of Experienced TRC staff to test and verify substation protection & control system functionality.
- Become familiar with various types of test equipment.
- Become familiar with Testing & Commissioning processes and procedures
- Read and interpret design drawings to understand engineering design and confirm intent.
- Must have strong electrical fundamental understanding.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Pursuing a bachelor's in electrical engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, detail orientated person.
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
- Willing to work overtime and travel out of town weekly.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
