JOB SUMMARY:A Test Systems Technician examines parts for conformance with dimensional specifications using precision measuring instruments working closely with engineers to support and improve manufacturing operations. This includes troubleshooting products, equipment and process issues, performing acceptance testing, documenting fixtures, performing equipment maintenance, and updating process documentation. This technician will assist engineers with projects through building or procuring test equipment and performing testing and process validations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Inspect, measure, and test using electronic measuring equipment and a microscope
- Perform final acceptance testing in accordance with customer specifications
- Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas for improvement
- Assist in product design, development, and production
- Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause.
- Analyze test results using engineering specifications and calculator
- Assist engineers to run experiments, create documentation and operational methods sheets for production
- Utilize computer-aided design and drafting equipment
- Maintain proper records related to product development and release
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing
- Assist production with troubleshooting machine issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Associate's Degree
- Experience Years: 3-5 years
- Experience Type: Electrical Engineering or Technology
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
