Test Prep Tutor

Smith Street Workshop is growing and seeking exceptional tutors who share our philosophy and commitment to progressive education, developmentally appropriate practice, and community-based learning. Smith Street Workshop is a tutoring and educational enrichment center located in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. We work with students from Pre-K through high school. We provide individual and group tutoring for general academic support and Test Prep, as well as after-school French programs run by bilingual educators.

Our tutors provide instruction at the Workshop (321 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231) at competitive hourly rates. While we do offer remote tutoring, our greatest need currently is for in-person tutoring. Typically, we book tutors with 2-5 students per afternoon in order to maximize their time and income. Above all, it's a really fun & interesting place to work!

Specific areas of expertise needed for private tutoring:

Test Prep

- High School Admissions: SHSAT, TACHS, HPST

- Private School Admissions: ISEE (all levels), SSAT (all levels)

- College Admissions: SAT, ACT, AP exams

-High School and College application essay support

-Regents

-NYS State Tests

Foreign Language Instruction

General Academic Support

-Elementary, Middle, & High School Public school curricula (Common Core State Standards)

Pay: $70.00 - $125.00 per hour
