This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June-August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024. May be eligible for relocation.

This position will be part of our Analysis and Test group at Collins in Burnsville, MN.  The Analysis and Test group is comprised of several analysts, subject matter experts, Test Engineers, and test technicians that support the environmental test lab, EMI/EMC lab, wind tunnel testing labs, and engineering labs; all of which are located within Burnsville.  These labs support research and development and the qualification of all parts manufactured within the value streams in Burnsville.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Completes assigned projects that work toward the long-term improvement of the environmental lab, EMI/EMC lab, and wind tunnels.

  • Uses software such as Creo and MATLAB to assist with completing projects.

  • Works with engineers and technicians in the environmental lab, EMI/EMC lab, and wind tunnels before, during, and after testing.

  • Documents and presents completed projects to the analysis and test group.

  • Collaborates with other interns and engineers.

  • Handles multiple tasks at once and works with management to prioritize appropriately.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Creo.

  • Experience in MATLAB.

  • Club/professional experience with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
