Job Description
To assist in testing and inspecting products to ensure compliance to global standards
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
•Assist Test Engineers:
•With the daily activities, such as test set-ups, data collection and test tear downs
•With test request submission review, test sample inspections and report generation
•With the development of new fixtures including drawing creation using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
•By assembling new test fixtures and making improvements to existing equipment
•With routine inspections, regular maintenance and compliance checks on test equipment
•Assist the Testing team in ensuring products are safe, reliable and meet quality system compliance
•Assist the Inspection team by performing part inspections through dimensional, material and coating analysis
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS
•Must be a friendly team player, professional, detail-oriented and honest
Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Use electrical tools (i.e. multi-meter, oscilloscope, soldering iron and crimp tools)
•Use mechanical tools (i.e. force gauge, torque wrench, hand tools and standard power tools)
•Read and comprehend work instructions
•Prepare and present summary reports
•Lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
Must have:
•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
•Basic mathematical and reading skills
•Basic understanding of electrical and control circuits
•Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•No experience required
REQUIRED EDUCATION
•Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prospective interns must:
•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
•Be at least in the equivalency of successfully completing Sophomore year of college after starting the internship
• Work on-site in Duryea, Pennsylvania full-time for a minimum of 1 summer OR work part-time for a minimum of 1 school semester
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Provide approval documents from their college or university to receive college credit
•Current or previous successful internship experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
