Test Engineer (E-Commerce Platform)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for testing our e-commerce platform ComAve (comave.com). As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of our e-commerce platform.

2. Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications, APIs, and database integrations to identify defects and ensure compliance with functional requirements.

3. Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into test cases and acceptance criteria.

4. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives, to provide input on testing strategies and priorities.

5. Perform regression testing to validate software changes and ensure backward compatibility with existing features and functionalities.

6. Document test results, defects, and issues in a clear and concise manner, and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve identified issues.

7. Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of testing activities.

8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing, quality assurance, and e-commerce technologies, and proactively apply this knowledge to drive improvements in our testing practices.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

2. 3+ years of proven experience as a Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer in an e-commerce and web application development environment.

3. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation tools, and defect tracking systems.

4. Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for web applications, APIs, and database systems.

5. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes.

7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

8. Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

9. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and version control systems (Git) is a plus.
