Test Engineer

Summary: Seeking an experienced Test Engineer specialized in heavy-duty vehicles and associated equipment testing, project estimation, and test plan creation.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (no tech degrees)

• 5+ years related work experience

• Experience utilizing vehicle CAN bus systems for troubleshooting and diagnostics

• Experience with Ford powertrain and electrical subsystems

• Experience working with vehicles/powertrain/electrical subsystems, using CAN

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in establishing requirements for testing of heavy-duty vehicles and associated equipment according to project needs.

• Ability to recommend necessary equipment resources for tests.

• Expertise in formulating project estimates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and implementing test plans via communication to subordinate engineers and technicians.

• Plan for fixtures and test apparatuses; supervise their construction and development.

• Coordinate, supervise, and monitor progress of testing.

• Recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost targets.

• Communicate the status and results of tests as needed.

• Travel may be required, up to 50%.

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
