Job Description
Summary: Seeking an experienced Test Engineer specialized in heavy-duty vehicles and associated equipment testing, project estimation, and test plan creation.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (no tech degrees)
5+ years related work experience
Experience utilizing vehicle CAN bus systems for troubleshooting and diagnostics
Experience with Ford powertrain and electrical subsystems
Experience working with vehicles/powertrain/electrical subsystems, using CAN
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in establishing requirements for testing of heavy-duty vehicles and associated equipment according to project needs.
Ability to recommend necessary equipment resources for tests.
Expertise in formulating project estimates.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and implementing test plans via communication to subordinate engineers and technicians.
Plan for fixtures and test apparatuses; supervise their construction and development.
Coordinate, supervise, and monitor progress of testing.
Recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost targets.
Communicate the status and results of tests as needed.
Travel may be required, up to 50%.
Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
