We are a well-established distributor of Commercial, Residential building materials and home improvement who is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Representative to join their team. The Territory/Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for calling on contractors and pursuing residential, commercial and multi-family projects. The products represented by you, as our Territory Representative will include building materials such as cabinets, doors, shower doors, vanities, and other related products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Promote and sell building materials and related products to contractors, builders, architects, and other clients
- Accustomed to working with high-end products and client purchases.
- Working with longer transaction cycles (15 to 60/90 days), continued relationship building
- Identify new sales opportunities and work to expand the company's customer base
- Provide product information, pricing, and delivery information to customers
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers
- Conduct on-site visits to customers and job sites to assess needs and offer solutions
- Meet or exceed sales targets and goals
- Submit timely and accurate sales reports and forecasts
- Participate in trade shows, contractor appreciation events and other marketing events as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the building materials industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, competitive environment
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Benefits:
- Competitive base salary of $65K-70K, based on experience, plus uncapped commission. (Average 80K to 120K additional)
