Position: Territory Sales Associate
Reports To: General Manager, Retail
Exemption Status: Salary + Commission + Bonus + Car Allowance + Gas Expenses
Summary
The Territory Sales Associate will be responsible for making product presentations in customers’ homes, negotiating, and closing the sale for Home Security for an assigned market. Partnering with your team you will be instrumental in the overall production goal achievement, day-to-day operations, Customer relationship and Customer support.
Responsibilities
The Territory Sales Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct Home Security Consultations to educate clients and close sales.
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding Home Security Screens.
- Present, measure, estimate home Security products and ultimately closing the sale with the customer
- Develop lasting customer relationships.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions within the assigned territory.
- Provide post-sale support and address customer inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct follow-up customer communication.
- Understand installation and use of all products to educate customers
- Understand and track established individual sales goals
- Track store orders and provide customers with product updates
- Work closely with sales team, marketing, and other departments to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of in-home selling experience
- Must have excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Able to manage multiple projects while working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Computer and clerical experience are preferred (MS Word and Excel)
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Required to maintain a full-time retail schedule, including evenings/nights, weekends and holidays
- Possess reliable transportation to travel to customers’ homes
- Required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check prior to beginning employment.
- Ability to lift 20-30lbs of product samples
Compensation
