Terrain Park Attendant
JOB OVERVIEW
This position is a part-time Terrain Park Attendant job. The Terrain Park Attendant will participate in the daily operation of the Hoedown Hill Terrain Park; monitoring, inspecting, evaluating and upkeep of all terrain features. They are responsible for positive guest relations, achievement of safety goals and general support duties for the day-to-day operations of Hoedown Hill activities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Commitment to providing a safe experience for our guests and team members by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and compliance with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards
- Learn, perform and train job tasks for all activities on Hoedown Hill
- Consistently express a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude while effectively providing guests and fellow employees with assistance, information, and directions
- Understanding of LOTO awareness
- Working knowledge of conveyor lift
- Serve as a conduit of communication between employees and Terrain Park Lead
- Report potential safety hazards to Terrain Park Lead and Snow Surfaces Manager
- Provide exceptional guest experience: From operating activities to answering questions and helping guests navigate the experiences safely
- Always maintain positive guest relations, resolve any guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Work as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments as needed
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment
- Install and maintain Terrain Park hill signage, closures, lane markings, fencing and banner tape
- Monitor terrain in the Terrain Park by visual inspection and testing according to company policy
- Maintain ongoing monitoring and maintenance of Terrain Park and equipment
- Terrain Park guest traffic control and safety monitoring
- Assist with special events and large groups
- Other duties as assigned
Skills / Knowledge Required:
- First Aid/ CPR desirable
- Basic troubleshooting skills to identify problems and safety issues and ability to execute resolutions
- Ski/snowboarding ability required
- Able to work irregular hours and to maintain a high level of caution and situational awareness while performing duties
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
On-Hill Environment:
- The primary physical environment in which this position works is outdoors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, and rain.
- The degree of strenuous activity within the job is high. Often lifting a weight of 25+ pounds throughout the day is common.
- Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with equipment.
Expected Pay Range: $16-$18 per hour
