Description
Do you have experience in the Industrial Technology field and are interested in teaching students in your trade?
The at HCC is growing and we are in search of applicants for a full-time faculty position in the College's Career and Technical Education division with a focus on teaching HVAC and Industrial Maintenance classes.
This is an ongoing 9-month appointment from mid-August to mid-May. A start date in January 2024 is anticipated.
Full-time faculty are responsible for teaching courses and supporting student achievement, developing curriculum for the Industrial Technology program, working with local employers, and contributing to departmental and College-wide initiatives.
The hired individual will be expected to teach a variety of courses in the discipline as assigned.
Requirements
Applicants are not required to have a formal degree but should have a minimum of 2,000 hours of successful work experience in the field as well as the ability to teach a wide range of Industrial Technology courses in areas such as heating and air conditioning systems, fabrication, automation systems, small commercial and residential installation, mechanical systems, and general industry skills.
EPA Universal Certification is required.
Candidates must be able to work inclusively with diverse populations of students, employees, and those external to the College.
Desired Qualifications
Teaching/training experience, formal education, relevant certifications, and/or apprenticeship experience are desired, but not required.
