SCRA is one of the recreational facilities at Stanford University. It is open exclusively to faculty, senior staff, and their families. SCRA embodies values of sportsmanship, community, recreation, and athletics, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone.

Our facilities include a serene clubhouse, locker rooms, and two barbecue areas with patio furniture. There's a specially designed playground set for kids aged 5-12. Dive into our offerings with a 25-meter x 25-yard lap & recreational pool, seven tennis courts (three lit for night play), and a squash court/hitting wall with a basketball hoop. SCRA is your destination for a vibrant community where enjoyment knows no bounds.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Tennis Professional to join our team. As a Tennis Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tennis instruction and coaching to students of all ages and skill levels. This is a part-time position with flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct 6-10 hours/week of adult and junior clinics at a rate of $50-$60/hour. These hours are after school and weekends.

- Conduct private and group tennis lessons for students of various ages and skill levels and receive 90% of revenue generated. There is potential to teach at least 30 hours of private and semi-private lessons/week

- Develop and implement lesson plans to improve students' tennis skills and techniques

- Provide guidance and feedback to help students achieve their goals

- Organize and supervise tennis clinics, camps, and tournaments

- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the tennis facilities

- Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants

Requirements:

- Previous experience working as a Tennis Professional

- Strong knowledge of tennis rules, techniques, and strategies

- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with students, parents, and staff members

- CPR/AED certification is preferred but not required

- College playing experience and/or competitive playing experience preferred

-USPTA or USPTR certification required
