SalaryJob Summary:
The Tennis Maintenance Attendant is responsible for daily maintenance of courts and areas adjacent to courts, as well as maintaining and servicing Tennis Maintenance equipment. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Head Tennis Professional. Expected hours are 4-5 days per week and applicant must be available on weekends during tournaments and league matches.
Daily Tasks:
- Waters, rolls, drags surface, and sweeps lines of clay courts.
- Blows debris and dust from surface of pickleball courts.
- Builds up low spots, shaves high spots, dusts, (plugs of feathers material) on all clay courts.
- Keeps court tapes, nets, fences and gates in good condition.
- Applies calcium chloride on clay courts.
- Blows sidewalks; empties trash from court and facility receptacles.
- Cleans shop windows.
- Blows and cleans terrace areas; puts chairs in neat order.
- Replenishes supplies such as ice, towels, and cups.
- Trims grass at court edges and prevents weed growth at court edges.
- Cleans court drainage gutters, drains and catch basins; installs, removes and repairs court wind screens.
- Performs any additional tasks needed to keep tennis courts and surrounding areas in good order.
- Repairs machines and replaces defective or worn parts of all maintenance machines.
- Delivers machines to repair shops for overhauls and picks up machines when ready.
- Orders and picks up facility supplies such as ice, towels, and cups.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Tennis Professional.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience in facilities/equipment maintenance
· Knowledge and experience of clay tennis court maintenance
