Tennis Instructor

POSITION SUMMARY:The Division of Student Life; Recreational Services is seeking a Tennis Instructor to teach group lessons to adults and juniors of all ages and skill levels.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

• Teach age and skill appropriate group lessons. (Private lessons, optional)
• Create a disciplined, fun and challenging learning environment for the students.
• Prepare lesson plans ahead of time when leading the class.
• Evaluate and offer feedback to students.
• Report progress to parents/guardians as needed and help answer any questions they may have.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings as requested.
• Assist with occasional special events and tournaments.
• Promote the growth of tennis.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION BASICS:

Hourly Rate/Range: Group Rate: $12.00 - $25.00; Private Rate: $20.00 - $30.00

WORK SCHEDULE:

Hours: 6-20 hours/week

Shift: Looking to fill weekend and evening shifts

Work Week: May work weekends

Additional Hours: As needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum tennis playing experience: High school, USTA tournaments or equivalent.
• Must be dependable.
• Ability to interact with diverse groups through a variety of situations.
