Position Details:
Title: Temporary Middle School Teacher - Social Studies - Posting for 2023-2024 School Year
Placement (location): Eagle Point Middle School
Supervisor: Principal or designee
Contract Days: 194 days to begin immediately
Salary Range: $44,306 - $86,471 plus master's stipend of $2,215 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits)
Position Closing Date: Screening to begin ASAP
Description:
This position requires an Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in Foundational Social Studies. The teacher must be familiar with Standards-Based Teaching and Learning instructional practices, including differentiation and re-teaching methods. The position requires the ability to analyze data to inform the instruction to a whole class and individual learning. The teacher must be able to scaffold rigorous lessons that engage all learners. Opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities or athletics as a coach/advisor are also considered. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
General Expectations:
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated content knowledge and pedagogic skills relative to Social Studies. A desire to collaborate with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever-changing needs of our students, is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using various pedagogical and assessment tools, have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS, and be willing to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting.
