Summary or Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of Student Services/ school principal and/or assistant principal, the remote
counselor is responsible for the implementation of research-based instructional strategies to support staff on a
temporary basis in Tikigaq School. There will be no student contact or on-site services provided.

Minimum Qualification Required/Preferred

• Master’s Degree in Education required.
- Minimum of three years of successful counseling experience preferred.
- Experience working with grief and trauma.
- Inupiaq, Language, History & Culture experience preferred.
- Assist in supporting and reviewing the development, implementation, and review of District

• Communicate effectively with staff regarding grief and trauma.
