Be a Tar Heel! Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The School of Education is an academic unit reporting to the Provost. The School is a major center of research, teaching, and public service within the State of North Carolina, the nation, and the world. The School offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs. The mission of the School of Education is to conduct research, and generate basic and applied knowledge about human development, educational technology and entrepreneurship, teaching and learning, school counseling, school psychology, administration, as well as educational policy and leadership; prepare leaders in the profession of education by conducting outstanding research, teaching, and service; and assist in the development of strong and effective public schools in North Carolina. In order to fulfill its mission, the School is organized into three academic divisions: (1) Culture, Curriculum, & Teacher Education ( CCATE), (2) Learning, Development & Psychological Sciences ( LDPS), and (3) Educational Policy, Organization, & Leadership ( EPOL).
Position Summary This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

Provide administrative management and support to academic programs (e.g., scheduling meetings; taking notes; producing, revising, and distributing minutes)
Provide administrative support for the development and distribution of program communication materials
Correspond with prospective applicants concerning program admissions
Collect and report admissions information to faculty and other team members
Communicate and provide resources to current students
Provide welcome and professional greetings to the public (both on the telephone and in person), including a high concentration of students, faculty, staff, and parents
Maintain continuity within the team by appropriately documenting and communicating interactions, actions, and follow-up
Actively work to resolve issues
Submit program requests for payment and process expenses
Provide administrative support for the development and implementation of program events
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming space
Performs other tasks as assigned that support and advance the SOE mission and student success
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Experience using Microsoft Suite (including SharePoint, Teams) to complete administrative work.
