Temporary Customer Service Representative

Job Title: Temporary Customer Service Clerk
Location: Harrisonburg, VA
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Job Description:
As a Customer Service Clerk, you will be responsible for performing clerical duties to assist customers in establishing, maintaining, and discontinuing service. Your primary duties will include greeting customers warmly, receiving and posting payments accurately, maintaining balanced cash drawers, preparing daily deposits, and initiating service orders. A friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Essential Functions:
-Greet customers in person and at the drive-through window with warmth and friendliness.
-Receive payments and apply them accurately to customer accounts.
-Process and prepare daily deposits to maintain financial accuracy.
-Perform daily balancing tasks for cash drawer postings and deposits.
-Schedule utility connection and disconnection orders efficiently.
-Compile and maintain various reports for transaction balancing and customer tracking.
-Ensure regular and punctual attendance at work.
-Collaborate with the team by completing assigned duties effectively.
Education, Experience, and Licenses:
-High School diploma or equivalent required.
-Previous experience in cash collections and Customer Service preferred.
-Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
