Performs a variety of tasks related to receiving and stamping new textbooks purchased by the Single Textbook Adoption Program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
No
1. Open and unpack shipments of textbooks.
2. Review purchase orders, packing slips, and shipments to determine that the order is correct and complete.
3. Document order receipts and inform the school’s textbook manager regarding the status of each purchase order.
4. Stamp each student textbook with school stamp and rotational numbering stamp.
5. Organize books and/or move them to various classrooms, bookrooms, or departments as needed.

Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate preferred.
Experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read purchase orders and determine if the correct books and quantities are received.
- Able to perform clerical tasks related to managing receipt of textbooks and checking that all orders are complete.
- Ability to organize materials for distribution.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Work hours are “as needed” and determined by the school’s textbook manager.
