Teller Supervisor

Summary:

The Teller Supervisor position is responsible for performing branch and customer service duties along with providing oversight and approvals for tellers performing bank transactions. This position process consumer and commercial checking and savings deposits, process loan payment, cash checks, savings withdrawals and may assist tellers with more complex tasks. Lead Teller promotes business development by maintaining outstanding customer relations and assisting customers with new accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists customers with processing transactions that includes deposits, withdrawals, payments, resolving complaints or account discrepancies.
• Assists Tellers with more complex transactions
• Manage Teller work schedules, monitoring overtime and assigning tasks as needed throughout the day
• Training new tellers to ensure procedures are understood and executive properly
• Performing monthly cash audits as well as completing month end audit procedures
• Generates business through referrals and suggestions of bank products and services.
• Complete new account openings, maintenance and servicing accounts
• Researches, answers and resolves customer and teller problems.
• Informing customers about bank products and services
• Maintaining and balancing cash drawers and reconciling discrepancies.
• Responsible for balancing vault and coin machine
• Packing cash and rolling coin to be stored in drawers or bank vault.
• Using software to track bank information and generate reports.
• Follow all bank financial and security regulations / procedures including completion of required compliance training.
• Maintain necessary logs and reports for compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of previous Consumer banking required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
• All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment background, credit, and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Standing for long periods of time.

Working Conditions:

The working conditions are generally comfortable with minimal exposure to noise, heat, dust and other related items. All employees are required to maintain a neat and safe work area.
