Job Description:
Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. - Assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.
- Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.
- Has access to medication storage areas as required for job tasks. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
- Current RN licensure or temporary Kentucky work permit
- Associate Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Completion and maintenance of BLS.
- ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 6 months of hire.
- NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
- Successful completion of all competencies as identified on the departmental nurse competency grid.
