The Telemetry Technician has the primary responsibility and accountability to assist the professional staff by observing the monitors, reporting, and documenting the cardiac rhythm. Initiates cardiac monitoring, i.e. applies ECG leads; instructs patient in use of telemetry transmitter based on age and developmental status. Observes, reports and documents any changes in cardiac rhythm. Charts and documents with a rhythm strip all new admissions to telemetry, any changes in cardiac rhythm, end-of-shift summary, and discharges from telemtery. Also must have current CPR certification
