Virginia Beach Counseling and Wellness is seeking trauma informed, LGBT affirming inclusive therapists & social workers to join our expanding collective team.

We are seeking a therapist who specializes In Couples or marital counseling. If you have a master's degree and are licensed in the state of Virginia, feel free to apply.

We help you build a caseload that matches your clinical talent, your areas of interest while investing in your professional development. We understand the need for variety in your caseload and ask that you commit to seeing at least 50% couples. Our community is LGBTQ+ affirming, sex and body positive, inclusive of all persons and values, a collective & diverse perspective.

Our team handles the majority of the administrative work so therapists can focus on their clinical niche.

Direct service responsibilities include individual/family therapy, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and groups.

We consult as a team and invest in one another’s clinical development.

Qualifications:

● must be LGBT affirming and skilled with same-sex couples

● must have at least two years experience working with couples

● Must have specialized training and experience in Gottman, EFT, or other evidence-based Couples Counseling modalities.

● has a niche focus and clear ideal client or be willing to identify an ideal client population

● provides evidence based therapy (we are still open to complementary and alternative therapies aka holistic approaches)

● prefer trauma informed therapist

● prefer a therapist who is credentialed with insurance but this isn't required

● those who want to commit to the growth of the collective group

● can work both independently and collaboratively
