Starting pay for this position is $17.14/hour.
2nd shift position which is an additional $2.00/hour.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The telecommunications operator provides a positive first impression to callers and matches his/her request to available resources/services. Serves as a resource to internal/external callers regarding the physicians, mission partners, and services associated with this OSF facility and region. Responds in a calm, professional manner in handling patient/family concerns and effectively uses a variety of communication methods to respond to emergency situations.
Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- High School diploma or GED
Experience
- 1 year of experience working with phone systems or customer service
Skills or Knowledge
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- keyboarding
- knowledge of phone systems and basic computer software applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- 1-2 years in a healthcare setting with prior switchboard operator experience
