Form of workBaseband Telecom Corp. is a national infrastructure, utilities and specialty contractor serving the wireless, broadband, and telecommunications markets. We plan, design, build and support communications infrastructure for our clients across the Southwest Region.
The Telecom Underground Laborer position performs a wide variety of duties in support of constructing telecommunications utilities. This position works establishing, building and maintaining various telecommunications projects and involves physical labor tasks at road/highway sites and heavy construction projects.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of telecom equipment and infrastructure.
• Dig trenches, lay cables, and perform general labor tasks as required. All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
• Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor
• Support the team in adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Follow instructions from the supervisor and collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Other duties as required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One or more years of roadside construction experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate competence with hand and power tools.
• Valid Driver’s license (CDL highly preferred).
• Team-player attitude and professional acumen required.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working with a team or alone.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background check and driver’s license verification.
Pay range: $16.00 - $20.00 hourly depending on experience
