As a Telecom Designer for Olsson, you will be responsible for working in a collaborative design environment to design low voltage, telecommunications, and audio/visual systems within the built environment. This will include but is not limited to the following: layout of MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms, horizontal cabling design and specifications, Wireless Access Control, Security and Access Control, Surveillance, audio/visual systems, nurse call, and other low voltage systems. You will specialize in Telecom, Security, Audio/Visual Design and will also help with other electrical design projects as needed.

You bring to the team:
- Associate/Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
- Solid knowledge in BICSI and TIA standards.
- 4-12 years of experience.
- RCDD certification preferred, but not required. Must be willing to obtain RCDD, CTS, CTS-D certifications.
- Experience with fire alarm systems design and layout preferred, but not required.
- Basic electrical knowledge and/or experience in the design of electrical power and lighting systems for buildings preferred, but not required.
- Experience working on Federal Government projects and familiarity with UFGS and UFC requirements is a plus.
- Datacenter design experience is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit Software is preferred, but not required.
