Effectively develop and implement age-appropriate activities, programs and special events, indoors and outdoors, for youth grades 7th through 12th.
Youth Development Professionals are responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of programs, activities and special events that stimulate participation and prepare youth for success. Program areas include but are not limited to: Education & Career Development, Healthy Living, Character & Leadership, Arts & Innovation, Sports/Fitness & Recreation.
This position will also be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Teen Center's Esports program, including coaching team practices, facilitating weekly matches and assisting in coordinating season schedules for each game title offered.
Provide appropriate supervision. Monitor programs and activities to ensure safety of each member and quality of the programs.
Develop and maintain positive relationships, provide guidance and role modeling to Club members and handle problem behavior according to Club discipline policies.
Complete all required reports/paperwork as instructed.
Maintain close daily contact with Program Director and other Youth Center staff, to exchange information and discuss any issues.
Participate in special programs and/or events as requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned by Program Director.
Enforce all safety precautions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 23 per week
