Job Description – Technology Cyber Security Specialist

  • Salary Range: $65,000- $105,000 (Annual Salary)
OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY)

The primary role of the Technology Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Cyber Security measures to protect Radiant's IT infrastructure, data, and systems. This includes identifying and mitigating cyber threats, conducting security audits and risk assessments, and providing security guidance and support to employees and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in Cyber Security and information technology, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Job duties may be added or taken away due to operational / business needs and requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

In this position, the Technology Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for:

  • Develop and implement Cyber Security strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Radiant's data and systems.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation plans to address them.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff and other employees to ensure compliance with Cyber Security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and investigate suspicious activities on the network and systems and take appropriate actions to prevent or mitigate cyber-attacks.
  • Keep up to date with emerging Cyber Security trends, technologies, and threats, and provide recommendations to senior management for proactive security measures.
  • Monitor, manage and maintain security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus software, and endpoint protection solutions, to ensure optimal performance and protection.
  • Provide security awareness training and education to employees and other stakeholders to promote a culture of Cyber Security awareness and best practices.
  • Participate in incident response activities and perform forensic analysis to determine the cause and extent of security incidents and develop remediation plans to prevent similar incidents in the future.
  • Maintain security documentation, logs, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT and business units to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of Radiant's operations and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    2. At least 2 years of experience in Cyber Security or related field.
    3. Strong technical knowledge of Cyber Security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus software, and endpoint protection solutions.
    4. Knowledge of security standards, such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
    5. Experience in conducting security assessments and risk management activities.
    6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    1. Familiarity with SOX controls, or other public company regulatory requirements.
    2. Experience implementing CISA controls in similar roles.
  • Work Schedule
    1. Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.
  • Work Environment:
    1. Usually moderate noise level.
    2. Climate controlled office environment.
  • Physical Demands:
    1. Occasional physical demands: stand, kneel, crouch or crawl. Lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range: $65,000- $105,000 (Salary)

*** Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual’s education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Other compensation includes, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or stock options.
