UN JOUR DANS LA VIE
Dans ce poste, vous utiliserez vos competences et votre experience pour effectuer un service planifie, une analyse/evaluation des pannes et des travaux potentiels sur les gros composants ou les pales des eoliennes. Au cours d'une journee type, vous travaillerez en hauteur et dans des espaces confines, tout en etant expose aux intemperies. Sur ce site pres de Port Cartier, Quebec, vous aurez generalement des quarts de travail 5 jours par semaine a 8-10 heures par jour. Vous aurez egalement une rotation de garde pour les heures de conge (week-end). L'equipe ici travaille normalement en equipes de 2 a 3 et grimpera generalement sur 1 a 2 turbines par jour et voyagera au moins 25 % par an. Il s'agit d'un nouveau site et pendant les 6 premiers mois environ, vous vous rendrez sur un autre site pour une formation en cours d'emploi, qui sera couverte par Vestas.

Vous aurez un diplome d'etudes secondaires ou l'equivalent et apporterez au moins 2-3 ans d'experience de travail en mecanique, hydraulique ou electricite.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
In this position, you will use your skills and experience to perform planned service, fault analysis/assessment and potential work on large components or Wind Turbine blades. On a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements. At this site near Port Cartier, Quebec, you will generally work shifts 5 days a week at 8-10 hours a day. You will also have on-call rotation for off hours (weekends). The crew here normally work in shifts of 2-3 and will typically climb 1-2 turbines per day and travel at least 25% per year. This is a new site and for the first 6 months or so you will be traveling to another site for on-the-job training, which will be covered by Vestas.

You will need a security mindset.
Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks.
You can identify solutions during elimination processes.
You will have a high school diploma or equivalent and bring at least 2-3 years of transferrable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work background.
