The Associate Technician - Shipping/Receiving & Distribution is responsible for inventory control and storage of production materials.
This position for Beckman Coulter's Microbiology Operating Department is
located in West Sacramento, CA and is working onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time.
You will be a part of the Materials team and report to the Materials Manager responsible to kit materials for manufacturing, perform manual and administrative duties with Oracle ERP and other computer systems, and perform scheduling and reporting tasks to support the manufacturing workflow while maintaining compliance with relevant local, national, and international guidelines.. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Kit and move dry, liquid, and frozen material to and from cold (to -20C) and ambient storage locations
Receive all incoming material and ship finished goods to domestic and international locations
Reconcile inventory, perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned
Respond to material requests from manufacturing teams throughout the day
Proactively find and resolve safety and performance issues
Complete compliance and safety training to schedules
Participate in continuous improvement activities including Kaizen events
The essential requirements of the job include:
High school degree (or equivalent degree)
2+ years exp in warehouse or mfg. environment
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs infrequently and work in cold storage environments for short time periods
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
MS Office platform and Oracle or similar ERP system
Medical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
Working with materials with short shelf lives and expiration dates
The hourly range for this role is $20 - $22 per hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
